Door Controller

Electronic door lock that opens/closes doors based on power state.

Loading Door Controller...

Overview

The Door Controller is an electronic lock that opens or closes a nearby door based on its power state. When it receives power, the paired door opens. When power is cut, the door closes. Wire it to switches, pressure pads, or sensors to create automated entry systems.

Specifications

PropertyValue
TypeConsumer
Power Consumption5 u/s
Ports1 in / 0 out
Pairing Radius1.0 m
Max Paired Doors5
Supported Door TypesFence gates, Building doors
Weight Kit500 g
Class NameLFPG_DoorController

How It Works

  • Powered ON: Opens the paired door (if currently closed)
  • Powered OFF: Closes the paired door (if currently open)
  • Auto-pairing: Automatically pairs to the nearest fence gate or building door within 1.0 m radius

The controller supports up to 5 door indices, meaning it can work with multi-door buildings. Place it within 1 meter of the door you want to control.

LED Indicator

  • Green: Powered — door is open
  • Red: Not powered — door is closed/locked
  • Off: Not connected to the grid

Wiring Examples

Buzzer Entry

Switch V1
Door Controller

The V1 switch sends a 2-second pulse, opening the door briefly then auto-closing.

Automatic Entry

Pressure Pad
Door Controller

Door opens when someone steps on the pad, closes when they step off.

Security Gate (two-factor)

Remote Switch
Motion Sensor
AND Gate
Door Controller

Requires both the remote switch AND detected motion to open — prevents accidental entry.

Airlock System

Pressure Pad 1
Pressure Pad 2
XOR Gate
Door Controller 1
Door Controller 2

Only one door opens at a time — classic airlock behavior.

Tips

  • At only 5 u/s, door controllers are very efficient. A single solar panel can run four of them.
  • Place within 1 meter of the door or gate — it auto-pairs to the nearest compatible door.
  • Combine with Switch V1 for timed access (door opens for 2 seconds then auto-closes).
  • For permanent open/close control, use Switch V2 instead of V1.
