Switch V1

Basic toggle switch with persistent ON/OFF state. Stays in toggled position.

Loading Switch V1...

Overview

The Switch V1 is a basic toggle switch that maintains persistent ON/OFF state after being toggled. Unlike the momentary Push Button (which auto-resets after 2 seconds), Switch V1 stays in its current state until manually toggled again. When ON, it passes power downstream; when OFF, it blocks all power. Perfect for simple on/off control of devices and lighting zones. Switch V2 adds RF remote capability to this basic model.

How It Works

The Switch V1 is a passthrough device with persistent state. When you interact with it, it toggles between ON and OFF states and stays in that position indefinitely until toggled again. When ON, power flows freely from input_1 to output_1. When OFF, the switch blocks all downstream power. The switch requires power on its input to function; without incoming power, the LED indicator is off and the switch cannot be toggled.

LED Indicator

  • Green: Switch is ON, power flowing downstream
  • Red: Switch is OFF, power blocked downstream
  • Off: No power available on input (switch cannot toggle without power)

Wiring Examples

Basic Device Control

Source
Switch V1
Device
toggle ON/OFF

Connect directly between source and device. Toggle the switch ON to activate the device, OFF to shut it down. The switch stays in the toggled state until you toggle it again.

Lighting Zone Control

Battery
Switch V1
Splitter
Ceiling Light 1
Ceiling Light 2
Ceiling Light 3

Use a single switch to control an entire lighting zone. Toggle ON to light up all connected lights simultaneously.

Multi-Device Base Control

Solar
Battery
Switch V1 A (Lights) → Lights
Switch V1 B (Furnace) → Furnace
Switch V1 C (Fridge) → Fridge

Deploy multiple switches to independently control different zones or device groups. Each switch maintains its own ON/OFF state separately.

Tips

  • Persistent state — stays ON or OFF until manually toggled again (unlike Push Button)
  • Zero power consumption — use as many switches as needed without internal load
  • Requires power on input to function — without incoming power, LED is off and toggle is disabled
  • Perfect for simple on/off control of lights, devices, or entire base zones
  • LED provides visual feedback: Green=ON, Red=OFF, Off=no power
  • Lightweight kit (500g) makes it easy to transport and place
  • Daisy-chain with other control devices using splitters and logic gates
  • For RF remote control capability, upgrade to Switch V2
  • For momentary pulse triggering (2 seconds), use Push Button instead
